3 & 4 Night Itinerary
* The 4 night itinerary is as below with an extra day.
Day 1 - Escape to the Wilderness
When you touch down at Kittila/Ivalo airport, we’ll be waiting there to transfer you directly to the incredible Northern Lights Village. Drive through the ethereal pine forest, and arrive at your very own luxury glass-roofed cabin, nestled within the still, white trees.
Take some time to settle in, unpack, or explore the site, then we’ll welcome you for a dinner in the cosy Lappi restaurant for a meal made with natural, local produce from the surrounding environment.
After dinner, the evening is yours to enjoy.
Day 2 - Immerse in Nature
Start your day with a hearty breakfast, and prepare yourself for a day of activities that will allow you to truly get in touch with nature and experience true wilderness.
You’ll start the day with a reindeer express ride. Get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures, so central to Sami culture and symbolic of life in the far northern reaches of Finland.
Experience a ride in a sleigh from one of these gentle animals, and hiss through the silent trees and the pure, cold air.
For the kids, they’ll be able to experience some real Lapland magic, as they meet the ‘real’ Santa in his home!

YOUR SANTA MEETING
Santa’s little helper Elf will meet you and other participating families and be your guide for the day, which starts with gingerbread baking at the Kammi-kitchen.
After the cookie moment, the Elf will take you to meet Santa’s flying reindeer. Unfortunately, the reindeer only fly on Christmas night, but you get to take a ride on the reindeer-drawn sledge in the pristine white snow instead.
Then it is time to go searching for Santa’s secret cabin. The Snowmobile-Elf will take your family on a heated sled ride into the forest. If you can find the cabin, Santa will most likely welcome your family in for a private chat and even give small gifts for the children.

You’ll have free access to the site’s sleds, snowshoes, skis and other equipment for the entire experience, so that you’re free to explore the trails and paths that snake through this untouched, pristine part of the world and discover dramatic fells, hidden clearings and frozen lakes.
Satisfyingly wearied and chilled from a day in the open, you’ll head for another warming, hearty dinner, warm your bones by an open fire, and spend the evening at your leisure, waiting for the spectacular Borealis to burn across the clear night sky.
There is the opportunity to add a visit to see the huskies and to take a husky safari – add this to your experience at time of booking (2 hour excursion and 10km Safari costs £122pp.)
Day 3 - Snowmobile Safari
This full day will get you further from the Northern Lights village and out into the beautiful snowy wilderness of Lapland.
Embarking on a 2-hour snowmobile safari, you’ll explore pristine fells and silent, snow-covered forest, frozen lakes and rivers, and magnificent hillsides.
Your expert guide will help you get the hang of your snowmobile, then lead you on a stunning adventure around the part of the world that is one of Europe’s last remaining wild places.
Return and enjoy passing time at your leisure, drinking in your surroundings and enjoying great Finnish food.
Day 4 - Chasing the Northern Lights (Not on 3 night break)
Wake up on your penultimate morning here, hopefully blown away by the natural spectacle you witnessed last night.
You will have the opportunity to spend this day at your leisure, exploring the village or going further afield on an organised or self-led activity.
In the evening, you’ll get to experiences the magic of the Northern Lights like never before, as you ride a heated sleigh deep into the Finnish wilderness, to drink in the lights in true isolation – an other-wordly experience.
Day 5 - Departure (Day 4 on 3 night break)

Northern Lights Village - Levi
Northern Lights Village is located deep in the quiet wilderness of the Sirkka region, 16km from the centre of Levi and 32km from Kittila airport.
250km north of the Arctic Circle, the area you’ll be staying in is a vast expanse of pristine pine forest that is home to bears, golden eagles, wolverines, and thousands of reindeer.
Located in the wild mystical north of Lapland, close to Russia and just a few hours from the Arctic Ocean, Saariselkä is an exceptionally friendly uncommercialised resort with a unique frontier atmosphere. With magnificent Arctic wilderness scenery just on the doorstep, it makes an ideal resort for an all-round winter wonderland adventure. The skies are often a deep hue of pink and purple, the pine trees heavily laden with snow, and being so far north there is a good possibility of seeing the Northern Lights too.
